Hello, I’m Paul Marobella...

I’ve dedicated my career to leading high-growth, profitable companies by focusing on transforming creativity and organizational cultures, creating new business models and being at the forefront of how brands and people engage. I’m most invigorated by leading teams through critical inflection points in their evolution and passionate about innovation in data-driven brand growth, powering brands to tap into popular culture, marketing technology, blending leadership theory with spirituality and a life-long commitment to diversity, inclusion and helping children in America’s major cities.

The Barn hockey bar chicago

Along with my partners in Six Hospitality, we wanted to bring together our passion for the game of hockey and create a space where enthusiasts can come together to enjoy chef-made food, curated cocktails and of course, immerse into the greatest game on earth. Our space is a puck’s throw from the Madhouse on Madison, where the Chicago Blackhawks play and from Fifth/Third Arena where various local teams and high schools skate.

Improving the cultural availability of hockey is a life-long mission.

On 2021 MLK Day and the anniversary of Willie O’ree breaking the color barrier in the NHL, my partner Anson Carter announced our pilot program of T.E.A.M Hockey with the New York Rangers. T.E.A.M.’s mission is to level the ice for BIPOC hockey players in North America. Video: NBC Sports

Marketing Strategies from the Top, With Paul Marobella of Republic Brands

An Interview With Candice Georgiadis

As part of our series Marketing Strategies from the top, I had the pleasure of interviewing Paul Marobella, President and CMO of Republic Brands.

Had the chance to sit down with the legendary David Sable and discuss creativity on behalf of the NYFA 2022 and my category Hell’s Kitchen. It was an absolute pleasure to speak with David.

“Either you defend the status quo, or you invent the future.”

A group of employees in our company set out with a simple mission: to share the experience of black professionals in the majority-white industry of advertising. The program quickly grew in awareness across the US with people engaging the experience both IRL and online. Each year, they chose a different topic to discuss #blackatwork; one year it focused on the black female professional experience and another the Dream Gap that exists when a black professional attempts to achieve a professional goal not normally associated with black people. Each year #blackatwork grew and before it was the majority thing to do in the industry, it was creating a movement for the industry to take notice and action.

The 3% Pledge

A relentless champion of inspiring teams to embrace diversity, inclusion and equity, we were an inaugural signatory of the 3% Pay Equity Pledge ensuring pay equity in our organization.

Over the last 13-years, The Inner-City Education Program (ICE) has raised over $1 million dollars to provide educational scholarships for school-age athletes in Chicago. An official Chicago Blackhawks charity, Brent Seabrook has been the title Blackhawk that has supported our cause from near day-one. I have been fortunate to be the Chairman for the last decade working alongside an incredible board of directors and volunteer crew.
